TNT Romania, a subsidiary of TNT Express, has reported a turnover inexcess of 17 million EUR and a net profit of 1,573,696 EUR for the year 2004. Last year’s results exceeded the targets set in 2003, as the company reporteda 33 percent turnover growth against an average market growth of some 12 percent. In the year2004 TNT Romania had an investment budget of 1.7 million EUR. Most of thebudget was spent towards improving the car fleet, freight capacity and the assurance of fast andreliable services. The company also reported operating revenues of 17,820,000 EUR, operating costsof 15,660,000 EUR and a gross operating profit of some 2.2 million EUR. TNT Romania was established five years ago.
