The German CEP service general Overnight Express & Logistics (GO!) and Belgianpost international (BPI) have agreed on an extensive partnership. With immediate effect GO!
will collect all international consignments in Germany. The letters will be transported via GO! hubin Bad Hersfeld to the European Mail Center in Brussels. BPI will take over responsibility for thedistribution into the international postal network.General Overnight completes the existing european network of Belgian Post International (BPI)with several partners. According to Peter Somers, Managing Director BPI, GO! was chosen because ofits comprehensive network covering all areas of Germany. The Product Management of GO! will start aclose cooperation with the Key Account Management of BPI. With the cooperation GO! hopes to be in agood position when the he postal monopoly completely falls on 31.12.2007.
At the beginning of 2004 GO! extended its product portfolio by “Business Mail”, an economicalletter product for letters above 100g. On the domestic level General Overnight co-operates with EPEuropost while international consignments were already handled by BPI.
