FedEx extends Cut-Off Time in Hong Kong to Europe

FedEx Express will be extending its call-in cut-off time in Hong Kong by more than two hours to8:30 p.m. for shipments to Europe starting June 1, 2005. The enhanced service provides customers

more time and flexibility in preparing and making pick-up arrangements for their shipments.

This cut-off time extension also applies to shipments on the next day flights to Asia and theU.S. The call-in cut-off time for same day flights to Asia and the West Coast of the U.S. wouldremain at 6:18 p.m.

“Companies have told us that speed to market and reduced lead times are crucial tostrengthening their competitiveness in the global marketplace,” said Mr. Luiz Tung, ManagingDirector, FedEx Hong Kong and Macau. “With our dedicated employees and interlocking transportationand information networks, we made this service enhancement possible to benefit our customers inHong Kong.”

Since last December, FedEx has been conducting a trial operation of the service. With highacclamation from customers, this service enhancement service is now available to all customers inHong Kong*1.
