With this new contract, DHL Solutions anticipate a total volume of an additional 4,000 tons peryear. The goods imclude more than 200 hygiene and healthcare items.Thus, the central warehouse, which is already in charge of distributing the goods in Germany,will also take over the responsibilities of the previous site in the Netherlands. “The expansion ofthe Hardenberg site into a central European warehouse is part of our internationalization strategy,which we are putting to work in Dortmund together with DHL as an established logistics partner,”explains Klaus Poloczek, European Supply Chain Director at Johnson & Johnson.
Taking over transport activities to the Benelux nations was accomplished in no time at all.
